So the plan it to hire some thugs with guns so that after I buy an island in a militarily weak island nation (not politically close to the US or UK) and declare independence the local government is not able to stop me by force. Then I'll turn the place into Adult Disneyland by growing and selling cheap drugs, licensing prostitutes as independent contractors and dumping all kinds of money into an impressive casino... I may charge people $1000 for a one week visa to visit if I get greedy ... of just live off the profits from the casino...
Tell me why this is impossible to do. Who if anyone (with any significant power) would oppose me or even care?

BTW: Teekno... first world politicians are not too turned off by drugs and protitution..if thery were how would you explain: Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Columbia, Panama etc. And we would not export.. so we would not endnager other countries.

The Netherlands already has legal marijuana and legal prostitution. Nevada already has legal prostitution and expensive casinos. No one will pay $1000 for a visa when they can get into Nevada and the Netherlands for free.

The drugs and prostitution will cause most countries to place an embargo against your nation. At the very least, all of the rich, developed nations will embargo.you.
A result of that embargo is that there won't be any flights or sailings to your island.
So, you'll have an adult sin island that nobody can get to.
EDIT: In response to your question, none of the countries in question legally support those activities, and that's why they aren't embargoed. Open, state sponsored activities like that would guarantee travel isolation.
Your tourists would have to arrive in a rowboat.

Sure good luck hiring "thugs" to reach an island in the middle of the pacific unnoticed by the defenses that are there. Cause you won't have backup :)
You won't have an airport, or a way to build what you are suggesting, or a way to get people there.
No access to finance, food, infrastructure, sounds like the perfect plan!
BTW, don't forget to check out if remote island countries have mutual defense treaties with other folks, like the US for instance....

in england gambling is legal, some drugs are eg pethadone issued by doctors and prostitution is legal but touting for business and being paid is not strange eh, but in answer to your question i think prostitution should be totally legal, after all it is just a service like any other, but it should be strictly regulated like in holland, medical checks, over 21 etc, this would make it safe for the girls working in a controlled environment and of course they would pay tax and national insurance. strangely enough a member of the english parliament suggested that drugs like heroin etc should be made legal and carefully controlled and this would put criminal drug cartels and dealers out of business, food for thought eh

unless your planning on hiring all of blackwater to be your personal army/entourage, even the most politically unstable/militarily weak nation could summon up a few dozen soldiers who are heavily armed to destroy your island, espceially if they have even a cold-war era air force. unless you just squat in on the vatican or montenegro, which barely count as countries anyways.

DUMB *** it does not matter if we don't like them. Taking over a weak nation is the best way to get every power on your ***. Ever hear of Kuwait? If we don't like them some one else will and if it's only you and some thugs you will still probably get your *** kicked in a rebellion.
