I'm not sure I'm following your question. Do you want to know specifics about how motos and scoring works, what classes there are in AMA motocross racing, or how stiff the competition is? Of course the competition will depend on what class, what track, what weekend, etc. All the other stuff you can find on http://www.ama-cycle.org/
If you have a more specific question I'll try my best to answer. I'm not a factory rider, but I've been racing MX since early 70's.

I am by no means a PRO, but I do race... and all I can say is that the competition in the expert/amature clases are pretty good. There are a lot of fast riders out there...
But I think that the newly crowned AMA motocross Lites rookie of the year said it best when he said that "Everyone is fast here" Those are the words of Team Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey...
They are Pro's because they haul. They are fast in all types of terrain and in all conditions....

If someone on here tells you they are a professional... that means they probably aren't.

I mean how many pros have the time to surf "Yahoo Answers" for their bike related problems? lol
