Okay, so there was this one commercial promoting something......about women not to be sexually abused and stuff like that. There was a fact that said "1 in every 4 females will be sexually abused/assaulted (something I don't remember) by the time they are 18". Is that true? So out of us 4 bff's, one of us could be sexually abused within the next 4 years??????OR have already been???? I haven't.

Yes, it is true. On AVERAGE 1 in 4 will be abused. Now if you and your bff's happen to escape without problams that is AWESOME. But there are probably other bff's where 2 or 3 in the group have been raped or molested. Growing up, i was raped, as were 2 of my best friends. It is horrible and tragic. If it ever happens to you or your friends be sure to report it, because chances are the person who did it will likely do it again. One final note, some experts believe the number may be closer to 1 in 3 women who are raped or sexually abused before they turn 18. Sadly many woman never report it, so the person who hurt them can keep on hurting others. Rape doesn't define you, but it can make you stronger.

quite possible. I'm not the biggest believer in statistics (they can be manipulated so easily), but this one I might believe. When I was growing up, there was no such thing as "date rape"; it was just a bad date. Now it's being called what it is, and that falls under the abuse category. No means no, and that works both ways, both for males and females.

To me, it rather is a normal answer: animal abuse is dar worse. in my view, i might in no way injury the two, yet I detest little ones and love animals. So i don't probably care what happens to young ones. some young ones style of deserve it from time to time.

just because they say 1 out of 4 doesnt mean that you or one of your friends will be, theres probably a group out there with 2 girls that have been, or 3 or 4....

According to every chick ive ever dated, theyve all been sexually assualted before they were with me. So I guess that makes sense.

I think there just taking the work "abused" to the extreme I cant believe its really that bad.
