I have a guinea pig. It's cage is right next to my bed, which is wear i put my back pack. Well my homework was on top of my bag and the guinea pig got ahold of it and ate it!
Totally beats the dog at my homework scenario. :]

Use the old floppy disk trick.
I used to hand in a floppy, but it just happens to be the wrong one. Silly me.
That might be obsolete nowadays though, with usb sticks and whatnot.
