Yuk, fractions. Ok, I might be wrong, but you find the common denominator, which is 12. So, you should multiply 1/3 by 4, so that should be 4/12. Then multiply the other side by 3, so you should get 3/12. So, then its 4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12
7/12
I got it right and I still get a thumbs down, wow, tough crowd.

Here are all the steps:
1/3+1/4 (LCM=12)
4/12+3/12 (so you can add both fractions because both of them have same denominators) = 7/12

I'll mention the most common WRONG answer, since so many have told you the right answer.
1/3 +1/4 is NOT 2/7.
You don't add fractions by adding the numerators and adding the denominators.

always know that when adding you want to get common denominators (same as subtraction so
1/3 + 1/4
4/12 + 3/12= 7/12
