I had it done Feb 2006 and do not regret it one bit. If I had to do it over again I would.
I have a "surgery story" if you want to send me your email address (four page word document).
My scars are hardly noticeable. I used arnica montana, scarguard, and mederma as well as massaged the scars after the incisions closed.

I am 30 now, and got a BR when I was like 21-22 I think.
Before you read this, keep in mind two things:
1. I have never once regretted having the actual surgery -not once. It was a real life saver for my back and shoulders.
2. No man I have ever been intimate has ever had a problem with the scars or the way my breasts look now, and there have been a few.
I will be VERY honest with you:
When I woke up from the surgery I went into shock and started shaking uncontrollably and was in alot of pain where the incisions were -burning pain. I guess that I screamed at the nurse to get me some F-ing morphine, but I only remember thinking that in my head.
Since it is an out patient surgery, the nurse made me get up maybe 15 minutes later and I threw up in the sink..after that I felt fine. I just had a really bad reaction to the pill they give you so you won't get naucious...it had the reverse affect on me.
I went home, and felt fine, no problems. We drained the fluid from the drainage tubes and then the next day I went back and they took the tubes out..that was the sickest feeling I have ever experienced in my life -the tubes coming out...but it didn't hurt. I just never asked any questions and didn't know that the tubes run from the inside of one breast to the outside.
I stayed home for a week and did alot of reading and shopping, but was not in any pain at all - none...no pain.
They put steri-stripes on my incisions instead of stitches and there was some infection in those, because you area only supposed to cut the strips off as they peel away...but it was minimal and not bad.
I have some very bad scarring. I am not sure if the scars are supposed to look this way or not because I have never gone back to get another opinion. I think alot of the scarring has to do with the fact of the infections under the tape...and honestly, the plastic surgeon messed up one aereola - its crooked...not perfect at all and it looks like he "missed" or something because there is a cut into it.
Like I said, I have never regretted the surgery. I am going to have another one -corrective for the scars one day. No man has ever had a problem with the scars, and I was only 21-22 when I got it done.
I do regret not asking questions about the surgery. I do regret not liking the surgeon who did it and being too much of a chicken to go to a different one. I think I could have been way more prepared for it had I done some homework with asking questions and looking at the before and after book he had in his office.
Educate yourself by asking the doctor alot of questions and make sure you feel comfortable with the person doing the surgery. I think they feel more accountable for their work that way.
And feel free to email me if you have any more questions...really you will feel so much better after its done and you are all healed up. Well worth it.

I had my breast reduction 2 weeks ago and at this point I am regretting it. I knew there were risks when I had the surgery done, but I did not expect the risk to happen to me and it did. I am going to loose half of my left nipple and areola which I am devastated about. I feel pain in my breasts every day which I hope goes away soon. I am now waiting on my nipple and areola to completely die so that the doctor can cut it out. I will have a hole in my breast when he does that until it grows together. After it grows together, I will have to have some skin grafts to make it look halfway normal. I am telling you this just so you can be aware. This does not happen to everyone, I was just the unlucky one. I will be happy with my size once I am completely healed. If you have any more questions, I will be glad to answer them (if I can). Good luck!

search online for support groups. My friend got a br done a few months ago. She joined an online forum and went on there every day. She made friends saw real pictures of what to expect every week after surgery. She asked questions every day and supporst others now in their br. It is a good idea to join one- look it up online. My friend was terrified but she said itis the best thing she has ever done. She loves her boobs now and they are still sore as heck (months after) but she is the happiest she has ever been about her body. Join an online breast reduction forum and have constant support of friends!

you will have some scaring but it wont be bad just under the breast but it wont be too bad the first two or 3 days they will leak but the best thing to use is pads and a sports bra and if your that big the doc probably will take your nipple off and reatach it you will look perfectly normal but you will have no feelings in your nipple if you want to keep the feelings in your nipple you wont be albe to go down to a c cup but the surgery is very routine and is nothing to be scared of and your back will thank you and even tho your going smaller you will look sexy and you will be firm good luck with it

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
