You're right, the problem is indeed YOURS. Good 'ol peer pressure, alive and well - and you care big time who knows she's coming to stay for 5 nights. Now you can make this a miserable experience or a pleasant one - YOU decide! -You can be kind and make her feel comfortable without going too overboard, or you can be a real snit about the whole thing. Geez, its only 5 nights honey, bite the bullet, be a big girl, stop whinning and get with the program of getting through this. Wetting the bed is an unfortunate occurrence so don't draw attention to it, just deal with it if it happens (have pad/sheets handy to change, or for her to change whatever -I'm sure she's much more upset about her problem than you, so DON'T make it worse!).

Ever heard of a "random act of kindness" ????? Suggest you practice it - and learn about it at this time in your life - trust me, you'll never be sorry if you show your goodness and assistance at such a time - but YOU WILL BE SORRY if you turn this into your own, "worst nightmare"

Get it? Geez, I hope so!

you sound like a real life mean girl. Why don't you try to help her become more popular? Be her friend....as far as the wetting the bed thing, maybe she has a medical condition and that is a private thing that you should not be broadcasting to people. It sounds like you actually have a problem you are way to into what other people think and trying desperately to be "popular" (which in the long run really doesn't matter. Truthfully, you sound like you really think you are cool and popular and that is something that really matters to you. It dooesn't really matter in the real world, let me tell you the secret to truly being cool, be nice to everyone, and everyone will like you. Also be yourself, everyone has a dorky or childish side to them embrace the person you are and then you'll really be popular because people will wanna be friends with you for you....not because you're a cheerleader or pretty. Put aside the petty high school or junior high bs because it doesn't matter and try to get to know this girl for who she is inside you might find you have more in common than you think.

So what if shes pretty looks don't matter who are you to judge her on her bed wetting problem?? Make her feel welcome when she comes to stay talk to her and try involving her with things you do maybe you'll see that shes not a 'looser'. It makes me wonder why you think shes a looser maybe 'cause of her bed wetting problem? That's actually very common or perhaps its 'cause of what other people say about her at school? Whatever the reason don't judge her how would you like to be her for a day being hated on like that?

Okay, first of all, it is not your decision to have her or not, so make up your mind to make the best of it. If you let yourself decide in advance to be miserable the whole time, then miserable is what you will be.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's be practical. Give her a chance. Sometimes people turn out to be very different when they are away from the regular crowd. You might actually decide that you kind of like her. Or not.

If not, it's not like she is going to become your instant twin. Nothing changes at school or wherever -- your friends are still your friends.

If it turns out to be the absolute worst, you still need to be nice. Not liking someone does not make it okay to be rude or mean. If you are hateful to this girl, it makes a statement about what kind of person YOU are, not about her. It's only 5 days, not the rest of your life. Be nice.

I know most people think that you're shallow, but everyone feels this way about someone sometimes. Just Give her a happy greeting and try to deal with her. If that doesnt work than call your friend and maybe they can put you out of your misery by inviting you over, but respect the girl no matter what, everyone deserves at least that

It sounds like you are a loser not her. I think you are jealous if im honest!!! You might find she is actually a really nice person outside of school!! How old are you? You sound like youmight be in primary school. Have you thought that she might not like you because she thinks you are a horrible person. You could actually grow up and be welcoming to her while she stays, after all it is only for 5 nights, or you could stay as immature as you clearly are and be a pain for your parents for the 5 nights.

Give the girl a chance! And whatever you do, don't make fun of the bed-wetting!

I had a friend in high school that would wet the bed, and it really embarrassed her. She had a medical condition that caused seizures, and bedwetting.

Think of ways to make her comfy, she is your guest after all.

You guys could watch movies, or whatever you like to do.

Besides, it's only a week.

You should not call no one a looser if you don't know how the yreally are inside. it might be some things that are bothering her inside, that you would not understand that makes her who she is around people. get to know her, you might end up really likeing her. She sound like she is troubled or maybe she needs a true friend that understands her. Don't be judgemental until you know the real deal about her.

Give her a chance and get to know her :) Maybe you guys will really hit it off. It doesn't matter what others think of her so don't be ashamed to be around her. No one deserves to be called a loser. And are you sure she wets the bed or is that a silly rumor?

Kylie -
assuming that you are still living in the UK, then here's a tip:
lose the snotty American attitude.

So what if she doesn't meet your high standards of whatever it is that you perceive success is suppose to be.

Give the girl a break and try to find something common that you both share.

Who knows, you might actually find a new friend...you might even learn something from this girl.
And she might one day end up as prime minister.

In other words, don't burn bridges...especially before they are even built.
Grow up and tolerate the world because it tolerates you.
