this is a question my 4th grader brought home, I know I should know this but other than they are both above the equator I don't know the answer.

They are both panhandle states.

They both have panhandles on the Northwest sides of them and are in the Southern part of the United States

they each have a panhandle but that's about all the resemblance i can think of.
