Because society has been hardwired that way for hundreds of years. Guys are supposed to be the "tough" ones and they don't falter or show emotion. You and I know that's a load of BS, but society in general is still stuck on it and likely will be for a few more generations. It dates too far back for it to fade away quickly. Only continuing education will eventually get the world on track. Good question!

Beats me. I'm a man and I cry over movies( Madam X, Old Yellar, On Golden Pond, Bambi, The Shootist) and songs (Old Shep, Hobo Bill, Little Wrangler Joe, Nellie Sits a-Waitng) and stories. My father never objected and neither did anyone else in my family and I'm glad that I wan't taught 'boys don't cry. That is BULL ****! More men should have a good cry now and then and should NOT be ashsam,ed if they do.

Probably because men are supposed to be strong.......however, crying doesnt mean a person is weak, just has feelings.

It's a sign of weakness. How many of those reality shows have you seen where a male starts crying. You want to punch them in the face. NOW YOU CAN CRY!

because men are supposted to be the big, strong, tough people that wont let anything get to them. but that doesn't mean they have to be
