Because society has been hardwired that way for hundreds of years. Guys are supposed to be the "tough" ones and they don't falter or show emotion. You and I know that's a load of BS, but society in general is still stuck on it and likely will be for a few more generations. It dates too far back for it to fade away quickly. Only continuing education will eventually get the world on track. Good question!

Beats me. I'm a man and I cry over movies( Madam X, Old Yellar, On Golden Pond, Bambi, The Shootist) and songs (Old Shep, Hobo Bill, Little Wrangler Joe, Nellie Sits a-Waitng) and stories. My father never objected and neither did anyone else in my family and I'm glad that I wan't taught 'boys don't cry. That is BULL ****! More men should have a good cry now and then and should NOT be ashsam,ed if they do.

Probably because men are supposed to be strong.......however, crying doesnt mean a person is weak, just has feelings.

It's a sign of weakness. How many of those reality shows have you seen where a male starts crying. You want to punch them in the face. NOW YOU CAN CRY!
