kay so I am making a short film for my filmmaking class. i know i want to base it on superheros fighting a villian. but im not sure what i should do. any ideas? but remember i am a sophomore high school student with limited resources and a hi def camera...

How about you create your own character.. think about it like you were trying out for Who wants to be a superhero. What unusual talent do you have? (If you can't think of any.. go to a bookstore that sells gaming books.. or if you know a D&D player..or are one yourself.. build a character as you would for the game.. using dice and points to build it's profile then.. figure out a plot that is short, and is different than most superhero flicks.. Say.. lack of respect from the general public.. or a superhero who really IS a superhero is locked away in a mental hospital.. since it is a short film.. don't have him actually get out.. but show it as clips of him imagining ways of getting out.. (as detailed or as silly as you want).. ending with a scene showing that he is in fact still there and has never actually made the attempts.
Oh, and check out the song Cartoon Heroes by Aqua.. it is a perfect addition to a less than serious movie.. (if done as a comedy)

We did a superhero movie in 1986 in Bay City. We never released it. I'd be happy to write something simple for you...but go to the comics. There are tons of ideas there. What I did was write my problems into villains and my resources into heroes.

Do it on a hero that can teleport himself. That way the effects could be pretty easy to pull off.
He could teleport in, rescue somebody and teleport out with the person before the bad guys knew what happened.
He could also grab a terrorist nuke, teleport into the upper atmosphere, drop the bomb and be back to earth in a split second.
