You put you were beautiful in past tense. Once you are beautiful you are always beautiful. It sounds as if you are basing your concept of yourself on externals only. The only person that can't accept the fact you have no hair is you. If you saw someone with a broken leg, would you say "that used to be an attractive person but not now since their leg is broken they're not anymore"?

I have an aunt who has something similiar to that but she can get a shot and her hair will come back for a time. Please don't let this disability keep you from living your life, Beauty comes from the inside and when you meet that right person it won't matter about the disability okay. As a person who is disabled I like to see us smile and enjoy life and not let it get us down. God loves us just the same as anybody else. So just be yourself, and that confidence will begin to grow and before long you find the love of your life. Also during my toughest times I read the Bible, it inspires me and lifts me up and helps give me confidence in myself and that helps me to deal with others, try it, and remember Jesus Loves YOU!!!

hey, most things i was gna say have already been said.. but there was one other thing i wanted to mention-
you said should you burn your photos.. but i'd say no, definitely not! You may really regret this! You should find a shoe box or something and pile them all in there or make a photo album.. label it and store it away somewhere, in a loft, under your bed.. and keep it, you never know when you may want those memories.
I hope your hair does grow back, like some people said. and i'd definitely recommend therapy to help you deal with your feelings.. it's good to just have a little 'me time' to let everything out and process your emotions.
hope everything turns out ok :)

Please don’t feel bad about yourself and don’t change yourself either. I’m sure you are as pretty as you were. You don’t have to make yourself attractive. I know you must be heart broken but you have to strong and brave. Face the facts and fears. If nobody is interested in you, you’re better of without them. Just concentrate on your real life. your education, your career, and your family. There are many ways to cure alopecia, but I don’t think you should try any chemical treatments or therapies. But you can try one thing. Holy water. I don’t know whether you believe in it but it really works. Even if you don’t go for it, the hair will eventually grow back again. So don’t worry. Just be yourself!

Listen to Penny. Great answer and advice. And by the way, bald is cool, so get rid of the wig and be YOU! Also, do not burn your old photos. Bad idea.

it would be good if you could find the confidence to just be bald - other people shave their heads and look good IMO. Yes women do it too, I have always said if I was younger I would. I think counseling would be a good start for you, and sweetie if a guy isnt interested in you because of this he isnt worth having anyhow so you have lost nothing.

alopicia is probably due to stress more than anything my grandma lost her hair when my grandad died aged 31. But im sure it would grow back and many men would still fancy you and like you for you look at natlie portman in V for Vendetta, shame she had her hair cut but still gorgeous and many wouldnt say nio

Get some counseling. It sounds like you may be depressed, and I think you should talk this over with a professional. You should not feel ashamed of yourself for something you cannot control.
