My Aunt was the director in a major hosp. diatary dept. She told me that a person has to change their lifestyle in order to keep weight off however, she also said the only way to lose alot of weight diet wise is still the Scarsdale Medical Diet. It is still used in hospitals for people that have to lose weight due to health reasons. You can pick the book up at the bookstore and basically tou can lose between 15-20 lbs over two weeks, you then go on a maintance plan for two more weeks and return to the stricter diet. I did do the diet. You need balls of steal and you have to follow it even if you don't like the food. I lost 16 lbs the first two weeks and was dying to eat jusnk the hole time. lol It really does work but you will gain it back if you don't chane your life fully. PS the Atkins diet is very bad for you it releases keytones and is damaging to health.

Losing thirty pounds in two months is not possible. A reasonable weight loss is two to three pounds weekly. The slower it comes off, the better chances you have of it staying off. Eat healthy, watch your sodium intake, carbonated drinks, sweets & carbs, drink lots of water daily, & exercise every day. You do not need to join an expensive gym. Walking is the most natural form of exercise, so walk a little further & faster each day but do it gradually. Be sure to do some stretching out exercises before & do a cool down walk when you are finished.

I would go on a strict diet. You should only drink water and milk. When your hungry just drink... those drinks will fill you up fast. Only eat salads and chicken breasts and other good food. If you eat anything make sure it doesnt have calories nor fat in it.

I would also work out. Running wont help you loose weight, it will just turn your fat into muscle which wont help. At walmart for 10$ theres dancing and yoga tapes. These are the best. I think that the dancing tapes are the best. There for people who want to loose weight. It works!!!!!!

Slim fast also helps... just read the directions.... but it can be very expensive.

CALORIES IN CALORIES OUT. Eat all you want of fruits and veggies, vine ripe, organic and as near raw as you can, little or no meat, NOTHING FRIED, no fast food, no processed food, read the label ( If you can't pronounce it don't eat it), no dairy, include some grains (whole grains not processed white flour) and nuts.. supplements if you want would be Omega 3s and B12.

and EXERCISE. WALK to the the donut store, walk back home, just DON'T GET A DONUT.

You don't need a diet you need a new attitude about food. It is intended to nourish your body and your body and take care of it's health

Good luck. You can expect to loose about 2 lbs a week much more than that is not healthy.....so be careful....fast weight loss means you are loosing water and muscle mass and not fat.

I actually lost 37lbs in about a month and a half, i ate 1 hard boiled egg for breakfast, I drank an eas(walmart) low card shake for lunch and 1 ate 1 piece of fish--baked for dinner and 4 ounces of cottage cheese. I ate the exact thing every day plus walked at least 1 mile everyday. made sure I took my vitamins and the weight came off, It was extreme dieting, I have been fortunate not to gain it back, but I am not recommending it. Good Luck to you on whatever you decide to do.

Don't eat take away food that is fried or has too much butter on it. When cooking grill stuff instead of frying it. Don't snack on lollies, potatoe crisps etc. Have only skim milk. Must cut down on fats except the good fats that are in fish, cans of tuna etc. Try and get at least 30 minutes of good exercise everyday. Don't lounge around too much at your computer or television. Cut out soda drinks (soft drinks) entirely (well maybe the odd diet drink) - drink big glass of water before all meals to take the edge off your appetite. Don't eat processed meats like ham and stuff. If you don't feel like walking or running maybe get a skipping rope and wear yourself out with that. Maybe go to bed early to stop yourself from too many snacks after dinner at night. I actually wish I could follow my own advice!!!! Good luck and if you must have icecream have lo-fat.

If you lose weight too quickly and suddenly, it will return too quickly and suddenly. Gently ease your body into a healthy diet and get it used to doing exercise. I would suggest starting with the food; make sure you have three meals a day and try to get a balance of all the food groups. Do not make any radical changes straight away. As your body gets used to your new healthy diet, start exercising it more. Start off with say, 15 minutes of gentle exercise a day and gradually increase. Try to ensure you get enough sleep and keep your bedtimes and waking times regular.

I went to the health store and they told me about this pill called fucothin. All natural, no stimulants, has to do with stimulating your thyroid. They said though its fairly new, they have had phenominal results. One lady called in and said she lost 30 pounds in 6 weeks, and had a broken ankle, so no exercise with that either. I bought some and have been taking it for only 3 days but I think it will work for me as well. Research it online, it may be what your body needs. Its made by Garden of Life.
