Isn't the notion that "all men are created equal" really nothing more than a political ideal espoused by Thomas Jefferson in the opening lines of the Declaration of Independence over two hundred years ago? In that context, my interpretation of what Jefferson is saying is that, in the eyes of God and all mankind, all human beings are born as equals to one another and should all treat each other as equals in order to create and maintain this wonderful new country we are founding. The idea was to state publicly that these United States were not to be run in an imperialistic fashion like Mother England, but rather democratically (and hasn't that just worked out splendiforously?!?!)
Having said all this, Jefferson clearly was not a believer in his own words, which by the way, were not even his words, but rather those of Philip Mazzei, but that's a story for another day. He couldn't have meant what he was writing given that he was himself a slave owner, as were his cohorts in the country founding business. Yes, all men are created equally...oh, except those over there picking cotton in my field. I own those guys, so really, not so much with the whole "equalness" thing over there.
OK, it could be argued that at the time, those individuals forced into slavery didn't fall into the accepted 18th century definition of people and were, therefore, not included in this high-minded ideal of equality among men. Now, as we all know, this has proven to just be complete rubbish, but we live in a very different world now and have evolved, for the most part, to a level of "humanity" that does accept this ideal universally. OK, well, anybody with a brain and a heart does, metaphorically speaking, of course. Yes, yes, we DO all have brains and hearts because...well...because we are all created equally...right???

It is absolutely true that we are not all equal and all you sentimental fools who sob that we are need to really get a clue. Some people are more intelligent than others, some can eat more than others, some are big, some are small, some black, white and million other shades of color. You take ANY two people and put them next to each other and you will have two people who are in no way exactly equal to one another. This is common sense. However the fact is that ALL living beings from the creepy crawly bugs to the birds to the humans and so on an so forth are in actuality ETERNAL SOULS or Jivas in sankskrit and that is where the equality amoung beings stems. That is why every being should be EQUALLY treated with respect and given the right to pursue happiness reguardless of sex, color, or EVEN IF IT IS AN ANIMAL. Which is to say that the all of you people who cry for equality amoung race of humans but brutally slaughter animals for food are hypocrites and psycopathic murderers. So to recap:
Our equality stems from the fact that we are souls. However it is totally foolish to consider that we are equal based upon our bodies. If someone can't sing then he should shut up. Not everyone can sing like Curtis Mayfield. Should everyone who likes to play basketball be allowed in the NBA?

Your premise that all men are not created equal is totally without merit. I will take the liberty to use the word "humans" to explain.
Examples:
-all humans are born from a woman
-all humans share the same body systems (digestive, respiratory)
-all humans are limited by their surroundings
-all humans need air, water and food
Without a doubt, there are differences in people. To deny so would be foolish. But in our differences, we recognize that we all have some similarities that bond us as human beings.
Hope this helps.

How can all and sundry prepare constrained human psychology to expertise the author of existence, the universe and each thing? And if the author God replaced into created via people, then we would have the skill to understand this God through fact people had invented him. Why might people invent a author God who replaced into complicated and impossible to understand? this is through fact the author God isn't a trifling mortal that people can't understand Him. Take the belief of God the daddy, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, co-eternal and co-equivalent, 3 separate and different personages interior the Godhead, yet in basic terms one God. No way ought to any human techniques have ever dreamt that up! No, if people had needed to invent a author God, they might have arise with something their puny little minds ought to draw close. Edit: God does have self belief in atheists! examine the e book 'Does God have self belief in Atheists?' via John Blanchard, Evangelical Press, 2000.

We were created equal, we are clearly not, it is not right but it is true, we really should be trying to sort that out but i think there will always be some people who cannot help but look down on others, see themselves as better and act upon it.

To me most men are created equal. Only those who like to victimize people, or those who commit racism are not equal to me.
Only decent, intelligent, god-fearing, law-abiding people are equal to others like themselves. Criminals, liars, cheats, pedophiles, etc., are nothing to me whatsoever.

No not equal at all! However, we all have to live on this rock and we all have abide by laws... That sucks too! The point is that if we can notice that we are not equal, then we should be able to do something about it. Humans are awesome but terrible at the same time!

the ideal of equality is that no one should be automatically considered superior or inferior (ironic, considering the age of slavery and slaughter/land theft of natives that the phrase originates from).
but of course individuals will always have different strengths and weaknesses.
