I'd say most of the universities are pretty good, but it's up to the individual to prove themselves. If I had the authority, the only university I would not hire from is a private one in Florida. I've run into a few boneheads who seemed to have bought their degrees but didn't know a thing.

Texas A&M has a great aerospace program. Pretty tough, though--when I was there the dropout rate was about 50% a semester for the first two years.
