I plan to be in Vegas in January and I was told that since it's too cold (in the middle of a southwestern desert?) most of the pools would be closed. Will any be open?

I don't know of any hotels that will have their outdoor pools open in Jan. There are only a couple of hotels with indoor pool, I believe that the Tropicana is one of them.

Jan weather is pretty chilly, even in Vegas. I was there once in Feb and it got cold enough to freeze water pipes causing them to break.

Make sure you take warm clothing with, you most likely will need it.

I don't know of any Hotels in Vegas with an indoor pool. You might guess why...we want you in the casino spending money! (same reason the pools all close between 7 and 9 in the summer, when it's still 100 at midnight.) Most of the hotels have heated pools...You might be a little chilly getting out tho!!! I don't know of one hotel that closes their pool in the winter.
