You should appreciate how romantic he is and stop complaining.

Every MONTH? I agree with you. As long as you don't have to get him a card or a gift then go out to dinner. What do you talk about every month? How you first met?
If that's the case, ask him to pass you the salt and pepper and a knife.
Sorry but that would drive me crazy. If you just went out to dinner once a month and talked about current affairs, that's one thing. And yes you are tired of the whole thing.
Let him know you love him very much however you are "overdone" on the monthly ritual.
Good luck, he sounds like a great guy, go easy on him but do let him know how you feel.

aww I think that is sweet and you should be thankful that you have such a thoughtful guy. Not many men are like that!! Although it can grow to be tedious its a nice gesture, and just because you are celebrating each month doesn't mean you have to go all out each & every month.
My husband does this as well and because like I said it can be tedious...we usually just say happy anniversary to each other & have some "fun" if ya know what I mean!! Be glad and enjoy him!!!

Let me get this straight...
He is still celebrating your first date?
After 3 years?
Wait. Wait. Wait. You mean... after 3 YEARS, he still thinks that his first date with you, is a reason to celebrate?
HELLO!
I think thats awesome!
That's a lot of energy directed right to you and to the "we" that you both are.
There are women on here fretting because their husbands forget special days... your man has invented a special day, and imagine that, it happens once a month.
I think its healthy for couples to have a date out at least once a month, and hey, you will always know when it will be.
smile!
He loves ya honneh.
=)
*sigh*

What's wrong with having a special date once a month? Plus if he forgot the "real" anniversary date you'd kick him in the nuts. Right?
There's no pleasing some women.
It's over for you or you wouldn't have even brought that idea up. Move on so he can be with somone who appreciates him and deserves him. You deserve a slob on the couch wearing a dirty wife-beater tee shirt who when you say "you didn't get me anything for our anniversary" lifts one leg, farts in your direction, says, there your surprise gift, then giggles and goes back to watching SportsCenter. geezus.

Boy and girl friends shouldn't celebrate "anniversaries". Married people don't say, "This is the anniversary of when we first went out." At least I hope they don't or I'm way the Hell behind.

You should only celebrate the year anniversary - Celebrating every month trivializes the year anniversary.

The monthly thing is definately overkill, celebrating something that often takes away the excitement and anticipation. Imagine celebrating Christmas every month!!!

be thankful you have a man who wants to celebrate...enjoy a nice dinner out...if you think its childish, then he might find someone else to celebrate with!
