Being a good hearted person. Although I made mistakes in the past I have learned from them and it's helped me to find the good heart I've always had!

What is one thing that has stayed the same as I get older? That thing would be the fear of death. It is basically the same and it is not age-dependent.

On the lighter side:

1) I think the definition of a triangle and other regular polygons has remained the same although my appreciation for Plato's ideas with respect to them has definitely grown.

2) My total appreciation for Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek Vision has not changed since 1969 and I doubt it can be any greater than it was then and now.

On the deeper side:

3) My desire and admiration of people who like Socrates and Plato know that you learn more from forming & asking the Q's that get you nearer the truths.(I can go no deeper than they did!)

On the scary, darker side :

4) Well that's very private.
LOL

It certainly is not my knees. They have begun to finely articulate the meaning of arthritis. Other bodily parts are "hanging in" but I'm beginning to suspect there is a operating table light at the end of this tunnel. Certainly, not the same feeling I had at 17 when I KNEW I was invincible.!

And I'm not sure I can keep the promise I made to myself when I was 21- that my tendency to be satirical would never turn to bitter cynicism. I'm still somewhat hopeful, but not so much by the end of the day. I'm beginning to believe that if your looking for some assurance that mankind will prevail, your going to need a few stiff drinks with what you learn.

Death has bothered me more from time to time....

What hasn't changed is desire to think and wonder about the world, my desire to know others, my appreciation for a variety of relationships and my desire to continue to achieve and grow (just not horizontally). And yes, my desire to be silly.

That the world is plagued by war. There are no "good wars" but there are wars that spring from good reasons, as well as bad reasons, even some from no reason at all. There will always be war. When I was 5, when I was 16, Now when I'm 23 and when I'm 32, and 56.

My height. I was 6'2" at age 18. Now at age 55, I am STILL 6'2". Other things have changed, for the better, as I get older and older. But THIS has stayed the same.

Awareness of inner child, soul. Learning to champion one's soul or inner childlike joys in Love, Truth, beauty, Mercy, Joy, and the like, promotes salvation insofar as one keeps the Living Word.

"Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet, "Watch Your Dreams," Ann Ree Colton, "Man, Master of His Destiny," O. M. Aivanhov, and "The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?", Free and Wilcock, are good for this. "Expecting Adam," Martha Beck, also.

Besides my self? Both of my parents have died; 3 of my sisters-in-law have died; a nephew; and my youngest son. Life has been one change after another; education, jobs, everything is meaningless in the long run. Your family and friends are what are meaningful.
Other than that, I would say that politicians are still crooks that have not yet been jailed and that those who have get more, those who have not...

My basic fundamental passion for the visual world and fine arts. I honestly believe that a good piece of art touches a universal truth; universal truths are the face of God.

Essence. It never gets older or younger. That which is real you and that which you, yourself left behind, creating versions of yourself according of your ever changing beliefs . Notice that being older or younger it is also created versions of yourself based on established belief that we are inevitably getting old.
