For the pain.. take midol..
and as one of the answers said use overnight pads.. they work the best.. and you can also use two pads.. kind of over lapping each other but make sure it covers you from front to back...
also you can try going to your doctor and he/she may prescribe birth control pills for you (even if you are not having sex) and those may help you with your cramps and will also lessen the amount of blood that you loose.
best of luck.. and yea periods do suck.. but they are the cause we get kids in the future :-) one good thing comes out of a bad thing

i've heard that you can use baby diapers for pads. when i gave birth to my daughter last year, they gave me the BEST pads! they were HUGE! but very absorbent.
normally i have to use two pads, one right in front of the other, or i leak. fun stuff...not!
i use always overnight, or stayfree overnight or kotex overnight. any kind of overnight pad seems to be ok.
as far as pain...i would try pamprin, midol, stuff like that. or see your dr & see if he/she will give you something stronger.
good luck. i can't wait for menopause and no more periods!

yeahh i agree they do suck ! i donno why you need advil or tylenol there could be different reasons .. if its because of like cramps and all that fun stuff you get with your period . you can go to your docter and talk to them about it they should give you something . or midol is for your periods too . best of luckk with this fun time of the month lol . if you have any other questions add me on IM neen_333 .

Yea I know what you mean. I don't have much trouble outta them I don't use pads unless my flow is like so light. I hardly ever have pain so I don't know what to tell you there.
