Take a bath. While the effect is only temporary, you may find it also helps with cramps.
Hope this helps.

If you have menstruate for 3 days and you are still going strong it sounds like you have a sodium imbalance. You have menstruated so heavily you have flushed out all your sodium and potassium and you cannot retain your water.
You can get a glass of orange juice or a sports drink and down it. Let's see if that doesn't slow you down. It may not stop if you are that heavy but it should noticeably slow down. It may turn brownish and look much less fresh and bloody. Tomorrow you can get another glass and that should slow you down considerably. If you're still heavy after all that, by all means, get another glass.
This could make you feel terribly thirsty so try and take it a little bit at a time. If you drink too much water it will flush your sodium out again and you'll be right back to where you started. You may be weak and a bit anemic, so you might want to get some acetaminophen to keep the cramps away or you'll start menstruating again. Some iron and B complex vitamins can make you feel better, but if you're not up to it, I understand.
I hope this make you feel better.

If you drink coffee or colas stop. They aggravate bleeding during a period. I found with this and Advil things were more manageable.

Nothing slows down bleeding. I don't know which pills you mean, but NO pill does it.
The only thing that temporarily stops it is being in the shower. You start again as soon as the water stops.

Really, nothing more will help other than the pill if you want something long-lasting.
Bathing doesn't stop the menstrual flow.
