I used my laptop on saturday night and the internet was working fine...later on I used it again and it did not detect the wireless router we have in our house or any other wireless systems in range. There is no problem with our modem or wireless router because the internet is working fine on our other pc and my dads laptop. The wireless switch on my laptop is on and everything seems to be enabled...i have tried all the trouble shooters but nothing works ! The light next to the wireless switch is amber and i think it is supposed to be blue. I really don't understand why it does not detect any wireless systems...does anybody know what to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated! My laptop is a compaq V6000 and i have never had any problems with it before...am i missing something really stupid?

See if there is an updated driver for your wireless card. I have a linksys card that does the same thing in Windows. I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue, but if a better driver isn't available, you'll probably just need to reboot every time it dies.

Re-boot and try again.

You may have to re-enter your WEP / WPA key into Windows.

Find your WEP / WPA key in your router settings.
