I use Nair or similar products. It feels smoother longer.
Do not wax it, as someone suggested. I waxed my underarms twice and both times my skin was bruised! I can only imagine what that would do to the tender skin DOWN THERE.

OK so I'm going to say exactly the opposite of everyone else. The only way I don't get bumps or nics, up there OR down there... is if I shave completely dry and use a razor that is not too sharp. I use the Gillette Venus and it's beent he same blade for a Loooong time. Sounds horrible I know, but I swear it works. The razor, my skin etc... has to be totally dry. Obviously I go very slowly and press hardly at all. If I shave right after I shower I have a problem as well, my skin is simply more sensitive when it's wet. After I shave I use goldbond powder and if by some chance I do get razor burn, I use hydrogen peroxide to be sure it doesn't get more irritated by any bacteria and aquaphor cream to protect the rash until it subsides. It's sticky and gooey like vaseline but I'm telling you it's skin healing magic -- if you put it on after a shower it spreads more easily. Might give you a little acne but it's worlds better then painful razor bumps and seriously it will heal in no time.

The most effective way to remove hair is to shave it in the opposite direction from which it grows. In places where hair grows in different directions and in hard-to-reach areas (underarms, bikini area), it's helpful to pull the skin slightly, making it more taut and eliminating natural creases and folds.
Wet shave wins
Let your hair hydrate before shaving - it's a lot easier to cut when wet and supple. Soaking too long, however, causes the skin to wrinkle and swell slightly, making a close, clean shave more difficult to get.
Avoid soap
Use shaving gel or lotion. Though soap is great for cleaning, shaving products help you get a cleaner shave and their moisturizers help hydrate the hair follicles and reduce dryness.
Sometimes it's a good idea to shave at night to help reduce redness. Using a moisturizing shower gel to soften hairs also can help prevent redness and stinging.
Delay the sting
Wait half an hour before using deodorant after shaving your underarms. The chemicals in deodorants and antiperspirants can sting your skin, especially if it?s the least bit sensitive.
Underarm tactics
Though it sometimes means daily maintenance, shaving is the easiest way to remove underarm hair. The key is to get as close a shave as possible by using a shaving gel and raising your arms so the skin is taut (giving you better access to the hair). Because underarm hair grows in so many directions, it's best to shave up, down and side to side.

You should use a new razor, then use some soap or shaving cream while you shave, and when you are done shaving apply COLD water.
Another way is to use that body wash that is like sand and takes off the old layer of skin so your really CLEAN and glow with cleaness after you shower, use that to soften your hairs so they come off nicely but dont forget to scrub a bit harder on the hairy areas that your going to shave :) then use a new rezor, soap or shaving cream and cold water.
It works very good for your arms, under arms, legs, and down stairs and you feel really claen and refreshed after words :)

Well, for the armpit, if you shave in a "cross" method, up, down, and from both sides, you can get most of all the other hairs.
And thanks for clarifying the ******** is down there, I couldn't guess ;) It's best for me when I let the hair grow out and then shave it. Less bumpy that way.

Try aveno shaving cream (works great!) and a really nice shick razor....dont go for the disposable ones, they stink!! If that doesnt work you may have to try waxing...that pull outs all the hair by the root! So does the epilady..takes some getting used to but leaves you smooth as silk! :)

Two words of advice: waxing or electrolysis.
For my wedding, I got 3 sessions of electrolysis, which cost about $1,000, but I was hair-free for about a year after that. The hair grew back thinner and finer (like baby hair).
Brazilian bikini waxes are the way to go to get rid of those bumbs and to make hair less coarse. For about $50, you can bee hair-free, and you go back for another wax 4-6 weeks later, depending on your hair growth cycle. Once you start going on a regular basis, it will be less painful and your hair growth will slow down.
Hope this helps!

ahh
me and my friends call it vjj too (:
so, for down thereeee, you could try waxing
i know it sounds painful, but it works a lot better than shaving
if you're still skeptical about it, then go here, for i guess 'the right way to shave'
http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/724466
for your armpits, it could just be the razor you are using,
well,
i guess that could fit in with both areas
try Venus or shick quatro
I've found that the disposables don't work that good at all
goodluck (:

There is some miracle stuff that I - it's like nair, but you can buy no-name brands that are just as great.
You could just NOT shave during the colder seasons - it's better on your skin, and it helps to keep your skin moisurized to have hair there. No one sees it when you're wearing a sweater. The only problem is that it gets prickly and itchy when it is stubbly.

The best way I know that works is shaving with that Gillette's shaving gel for women while you're in the shower. It works the best and hurts a lot less and no bumps are left.
