One weekend...from Friday, after work when we set up the tree (no ornaments, just lights), through Saturday when we hang the garland and decorate the entranceway, through Sunday, shen we decorate the tree.

The amount of time depends on the extent of decorating for that year.
If I choose to put up my Christmas village than decorating can take up to 2 weeks at my house.
Just normal decorating, inside and out (without the village) will take only 3 days.

Just to do the outside, it takes 6 people four hours to put all out stuff up, and we're getting more things!
But we go all out on Christmas for a special reason. Some people would call it tacky, but our "redneck" Santa has alot of meaning.
For inside we do it gradually but make sure its done by 2 weeks after thanksgiving. It's more tastefull or so we've been told.

Each year is different. Some years it takes 3 weeks, some it takes 3 days. It all depends on the weather conditions. This year I'm going to decorate on the lake so it will take longer..... :)

Inside - about 2 days.
Outside - about 3 weeks
I put up a ton of lights, that are computerized and set to music.
It will take me to the end of November to get things going.

It takes a week to get up all of the outside garlands, lights, wreaths, etc. Inside it takes a little longer, like 10 days. We really go all out and I usually make fresh pine bough garlands, wreaths and arrangements. I'm starting this weekend..

Not too long. I'm in a 1 bd apt and so it's just my living room, dining room and balcony. Couple of hours maybe....by the time I untangle the lights! lol!! Or chase my puppy around who's stealing decorations and taking them into her hiding places.

It depends - last year I was working and only able to do a little at a time. If I get the kids to help quite often they get bored and leave it for me to finish.
