Many times when I am troubled or confused, I find comfort in sitting in my back yard and having a vodka and cranberry along with a quiet conversation with Jesus. This happened to me again after a particularly difficult day.I said "Jesus, why do I work so hard?" And I heard the reply: "Men find many ways to
demonstrate the love they have for their family. You work hard to have a peaceful, beautiful place for your friends and family to gather. "I said: "I thought that money was the root of all evil." And the reply was: "No, the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Money is a tool; it can be used for good or bad. "I
was starting to feel better, but I still had that one burning
question, so I asked it. "Jesus," I said, "what is the meaning of life? Why am I here?" He replied: "That is a question many men ask. The answer is in your heart and is different for everyone. I would love to chat with you somemore, Señor, but but I must get back to mowing your yard."

This was very interesting and I could just picture you sitting in the back yard having this conversation and was thinking also that Wow GW is really spiritual..till the last line...then I got it...very cute!! I am still not sure that you didn't have some of that conversation.
Ya know I have these moments too occasionally, but you know in the Bible Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you...and I will send someone to be here with each of you...and it was the Holy Spirit. States in the Bible that we should not grieve the Holy Spirit, maybe we are talking with the Holy Spirit??!!! I mean he is one of the three in the Trinity! Jesus did send the H.S. to comfort, guide, us etc. hmmm...

You are so funny. Good ole Jesus. Pronounced Heysus. That is one of the best I have seen on here. You are a clever man.

It makes me want to have a nice cranberry/vodka cocktail.

You are right about money though. It is the love of money that is the root of all evil.

Goodness sakes, I believe some have misinterpreted the whole meaning. (after reading the answers). Bless their hearts.

Unfortunately(you would say) I have had no such visits. In fact to me it appears tobe a difference in perspective. Had I undergone the same experience as yours I would not have credited it to some godhead.I would have put it down to my own thinking process .I normally keep matters mundane out of any such etheral concepts. In fact,if Jesus did appear and offered to help I would politely decline it saying that let me prove myself fit for the god who had given me Free Will. If it were to be a religious matter I may approach you for advice.

SB 10.31.15: When You go off to the forest during the day, a tiny fraction of a second becomes like a millennium for us because we cannot see You. And even when we can eagerly look upon Your beautiful face, so lovely with its adornment of curly locks, our pleasure is hindered by our eyelids, which were fashioned by the foolish creator. Very good. Jesus came to Earth as a carpenter, no reason to believe he couldn't appear as a garden too. Smart man whatever the case, I'd keep up those conversations with him.

I love the real Jesus a lot, but
the one who REALLY cracks
me up is the one in
"The Big Lebowski"
Remember, in that skin-tight purple jumpsuit? the bowler?
Who said,"Yeh man, noone
***** with the Jesus."
If you haven't watched it in
awhile, dig it out and get some real laughs. Jeff Bridges/John Goodman.
