Sometimes I don't really have a choice. Often times, I am restrained for the entire night. It certainly keeps me from hogging the covers.
And when my counterpart is not around, I often put myself into it if I cannot fall asleep
One other thing, now that winter is here, I often wear long sleeves and put my cuffs on underneath, both wrist and ankle and go to work. Its such a nice feeling, the pressure on the ankle and wrist. It makes me forget the stress of the job

most gear is pretty uncomfortable to sleep in. It's probably a bit dangerous to sleep with something around your neck. You know, the safe-sane rule...
Metal handcuffs would probably do bad things to wrists too.

I know!!!
I hate when I wake up and the zipper on my leather head gear has chafed my lips!!! I have to skip the Chapstick and go straight to the pertroleum jelly (which, as it happens, is conveniently nearby).
