Lets assume you had the choice between stabbing Osama Bin Laden to death or releasing him to go free...?

Would it be right to kill him?

Would you be able to do it yourself? (assume physical strength is not a problem.)

By the way... when I say stabbing I mean stabbing and not shooting or poisoning (ie no clean way to kill someone).

I would (and could) kill UBL myself without question.
Not sure if it would be "right" to kill him, but it might be justified.

I would have to let him go free. I could not kill someone, especially in such a violent way. Also, I have no law enforcement or military standing to make it legal for me to kill him and would not be willing to go to jail for that Pri*k

Neither would be done.

I would take him into the desert approximately 150 km from the nearest outpost, put him on his knees, put a .45 between his eyes and pull the trigger.

Then I would dig a hole and roll him into it and cover it.

I would stay there until the hole was covered by the shifting sand then I would depart and never speak of it again.

No martyr, no gravesite, no evidence he ever existed or no longer exists.... no nothing.

Most definitely, I would let him go free.

First of all, I don't believe I'm capable of taking another human's life intentionally.

Secondly, I would hope that by setting him free, he might learn that all westerners are not infidels, and that there is a value in finding non-violent solutions to our problems.

I don't think it's my place to take it upon myself to murder someone. I don't know what I would do. Part of me says duh he deserves to be stabbed it's less then he's done to others-- but I don't think I could do it.
