Most likely the worst thing will be that his licence would have been suspended, and when he pays the ticket (and any late fees) he will have to spend a good part of the day at DMV getting it reinstated!

If he pays the ticket in full it is not likely anything will happen to him.

there is now a warrant out for his arrest. they are unlikely to actively come knocking on the door, yet whilst he gets pulled over, or is going into DMV or something like that, they are going to comprehend and he would be arrested. you're able to whack him upside the top and tell him to get his prorities applicable. A warrant for his arrest , he can still go pay the ticket but it will probably be a bigger fine

he might get a bench warrent, but as soon as he pays the fine (maybe plus late fees) he should be fine.
