Most likely the worst thing will be that his licence would have been suspended, and when he pays the ticket (and any late fees) he will have to spend a good part of the day at DMV getting it reinstated!

A warrant for his arrest , he can still go pay the ticket but it will probably be a bigger fine

he might get a bench warrent, but as soon as he pays the fine (maybe plus late fees) he should be fine.
