I'm entering a local craft show but I'm not getting a booth I'm getting a table. What's the best thing to sell or what's the best way to decorate the table to attract people?

I just went to the second largest craft faire in our state (CA). the booths that had the most activity were those selling food items and those selling handmade soaps, bath salts and lotions. I think both of them attracted people with their smells...

There's no top seller. Try some clever ornaments or something that is useful and unusual, like cookie mixes in a jar.

Usually you would already be a crafter, and doing it so well that people have told you that you should sell your items at a craft fair. It's going to be tough to learn a craft, do it well and then make a hundred of whatever it is for a craft table.

But craft fairs are a lot of fun. Perhaps you have friends or family who also do crafts, and the bunch of you can get together to come up with enough things for the craft fair. When you do, use a nice tablecloth and have boxes and things that you can use for platforms to put your items at varying levels. Put price tags on everything, or a sign next to each grouping. If they have to ask, they won't.

Try to specialize in something unusual so that you are not selling what everyone else has.

When decorating your table try to do something vertical to create interest. Some kind of stand or ladder or window shutter that you can hang or drap stuff on.

You just want to be a little different so that people remember you. Also remember to smile a lot and be friendly.

just lay out your merchandise all over the table, make sure it's bright and colorful, jewelwrey is allways big and magnets (anything you think old ladies would like because they are big on craft shows)

it's a great time to make christmas cards, parcel tags and gift bags and you could decorate the table in bows and fake snow.
