I always liked "The Man in the Moon," starring a young Reese Witherspoon. Two teen girls in the old south (around 1957) fall for the same teen boy. He really doesn't have a whole lot of respect for either of them. In the end, they must support each other after his death.
Can't think of the name of the second film. A youngish male lawyer has a female lover. He is charged with murdering her. In the end, he learns that his wife has killed the woman. But of course she gets away, because the lawyer doesn't tell what he knows. What the hell is the name of this? I think it starred Richard Gere.
