My son is 11yrs previous and has been clinically determined with Asperger's. I firmly have faith that I even have Asperger's from all that I surely have examine and found out approximately it. It explains me interior and out. Why do you ask? Edit: Ah... is sensible. i think of like ADHD till now it that it particularly is a tad over clinically determined... being the 'in' subject at the instant. yet i might quite or no longer that is over clinically determined than disregarded. particularly although... if we ought to cajole the worldwide to handle human beings as persons and stop having lots of expectancies on what all 'x 365 days olds' or 'boys' or the different team 'could' be... then that isn't any longer suitable lots who grew to become into an Aspie or different such issues. i admire understanding what it particularly is that make me and my son so 'diverse'... yet interior the top... everybody is diverse! If human beings weren't predicted to stay via 'the team's' rules then Aspies might have lots much less to fret approximately interior the 1st place!

I too have Asperger's but a very mild form of it, I would suggest that if you have an MHMR (mental health mental retardation) in your area that you have an intake, if you haven't already, and if you are a consumer then you get with your service coordinator and get a job coach to help you find a job that you can do. They will go to your job with you for the first 3 days if you need them to help you, to help you understand your job. Also they will help you after that if you have any problems at work talk to your boss about whatever it is that you have concerns about.

I think the most important thing is therapy to learn communication skills, and some behavior therapy so your natural instincts arent so off putting to others. I loved a man with aspergers and he refused to get therapy and ultimately his selfish behavior, which is how I saw it, and his thoughtless hurtful comments and rants detroyed our relationship -
I KNOW he wants to be loved and respected and appreciated but there is only so much most people can accept and put up with, I stuck it out for six years - I still love and care about him I just CANT be there, it was taking a huge toll on my mental and emotional health.
Relationships are SO important to human beings, and I would strongly advise therapy for this.
I applaud you for asking, most asperger people refuse to even consider therapy because they think the rest of us are all wrong, and they are right, about almost everything :-)
Good for you !!!

I too am an Aspie. My suggestion would be to find a support group of fellow Aspies. It was very helpful for me to find a group of "like" thinkers.
