I wish it was four dollars a gallon in England,my nearest petrol station is selling diesel at £1.09 per litre which is roughly ten dollars a gallon, and of that approximately eight dollars a gallon is tax.So count your blessings folks.

Lady G,
A gallon of gas in my area is ranging from $2.87 to $2.99 a gallon, unleaded and about .10 - .20's more for leaded and Diesel.
I have been riding public transportation for nearly 20 years and still can't understand why the local buses, which run on propane are running only half full with passengers.
We have been told that our winter utilities bill will be up about 10% from last year.
I reside in San Antonio, TX about 300 miles from the refineries down in BayTown and TexasCity.

It just peaked at $3...and one station is still under $3...we shall see...I read where the barrel price has come down, but the gas prices are late catching up
If it goes further up, don't know WHAT I will do! I don't go anywhere as it!...only to work...7.5 miles round trip a day...and have been staying home on weekends. I'm on Soc. Sec. sanction right now until 2/1 so short on moolah and trying to SAVE money not spend more! GEEZ!

It could happen but I would not worry. I remember last year there were people saying there would be over 5$ a gallon gas by now. The news media find an "expert" that will tell them extremes. If you really think it will happen you should invest in it.

Oh, great...no wonder I got such a good deal on my gas guzzler! Fortunately, I do not put more than about 50 miles a week on my car...lets see, at 50 mile per week, that will only take about 30 .00 in gas! I need a 3rd job! The 2nd one pays for milk, the first pays the lawyers to stop forclosure! :-)

Diesel fuel is up to $3.65 a gallon here in Washington. I remember when I paid $1.05 per gallon. And it is supposed to be cheaper to produce than other fuels. Somebody should have told the oil companies.

I saw the same thing where I live. The prices continue to go up here. There is a sign at the gas station that I go to that says 'We take Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.' I'm afraid it won't be long before I'm going to need all four cards each time I fill up!

Here in No. California, yesterday I paid $3.23 for gas, another station that I passed by was $3,29. I know it is just going to continue to go up. But how else are we going to get around, we can't walk everywhere, and the transportation system here sucks.
And the Gas Company's keep making BILLIONS!!!!

I have also heard prices up to $4.00. Right now it's about $2.99. I'm glad that my job is only a couple miles away. I have really cut back on my driving. It's getting to be a choice on taking a nice long drive once a month or keeping my doctor appointments.
