i'm sure when i was younger they used to go up in the beginning of december not the beginning of october
By the time christmas actually comes im bored of it

I still love christmas but before I used to get really excited at the beginning of december and that's when the decorations went up in the shops and people started getting ready for it but now when you see the decorations I'm like what christmas already?
I was in boots and the decorations were up in the middle of september, you wouldn't celebrate your brithday 3 months earlier.. no i didnt think so, so why christmas?

No it doesn't bother me at all since I love seeing the decorations. By the time Christmas rolls around, I'm still excited for it.
10 yrs ago when I was just out of high school, I worked in a store that we were not allowed to put up Christmas decorations until the store closed at 7pm on Halloween night. Since then I've honestly never seen any store with Christmas decorations in mid-October, and I shop at Walmart and Target and other various stores.
Also, I don't know anyone else who gets upset over it either.

I agree with you 100%!
Lets get through each season, before we jump into the next one. I was in the store on Halloween & they already had Christmas stuff up. Not even Thanksgiving stuff!
I am ready to turn back the clocks to when the first sight of Santa was during the Thanksgiving Day parade, you didn't hear a single Christmas carol until Black Friday, and the stores didn't put out all of the Christmas stuff until Black Friday. I miss how things used to be!
I just went for a walk & my neighbors already have their yard decorated! I think its over kill!

I think the holiday decorations should go up right around Thanksgiving, when people start most of their holiday shopping. This gets them into the spirit of things but also doesn't make you want to rip the stuff down by New Year's!! I agree, the decorations go up too soon!! By the time Christmas comes - we're sick of it! That's not fair to those of us who love the holidays...we don't want to be in a pissy mood about it but who can help it when we're seeing this and also hearing Christmas music right after Halloween!!!

I stop celebrating Christmas. It usually starts in mid July ...by the time I start getting into the Christmas spirit around mid-December, it is all over. There is no Christmas songs on the radio, There is no enthusiasm, everybody is exhausted. You see Christmas tree trown on the sidewalks...On Christmas day ..you are so fed up with Christmas that you don't feel like celebrating anything. My family and I just celebrate it very simply like a birthday. We do get very excited now with the spring festival. My neighbors who are chinese ...they got us in to the spirit of celebrating chinese new year with great enthusiasm... Maybe we should switch and celebrate Christmas on July instead of December ? And stop all this
shopping and stuff like that. Just give some sweet things like candies, cakes, pies, and give a red envelope with some money to the kids. And lots of love, hugging, smiles etc.

Yes. West Edmonton Mall has had xmas decor up since July. It takes away from the joy of Christmas. Christmas season is like a month, not 1/2 a year. Maybe these people have no other sources of joy in there lives. Who knows.........Oh, and people who leave there xmas decor up until march. Yeah, reindeer look really good in the mud.

The shops are displaying Christmas items earlier and earlier just to increase profits. We should start making our own decorations and cards to stop them from profiting. Greed is spoiling Christmas.

I almost threw up when I saw a commercial for Hallmark the first day of November. Christmas is all about big corporations fleecing the public. I am concerned about having enough money to heat my house this winter and enough money to put gas to in my car. Just how much do the fools in Congress think we can take?

I like Christmas to be short and special, not a quarterof the whole year, but retailers are so scared of missing out on customers they gazump each other earlier every year and people don't have the will power to not shop!
