I can take a few things to get rid of the cramps but not the pain all the way down my legs. It really really hurts! Does anyone know what I can take for it?

hi........it's really interesting how you explained the pain going down into your legs. I started having that same kind of monthly cramp pain, but it would only go down to my left thigh. I also had heavy bleeding with it. I went to my gyno and discovered I had a fibroid located on the left area of my uterus. If I were you , just to be on the safe side;I would be checked out by the gynecologist. I'm not saying for sure this is what is wrong, but t just sounds similar to what I went through. I took Alleve and that did help. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

I have and have always had very painful periods. Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot that ever worked for me to help the pain but advil or midol might work for you. Try pain relievers and if that doesn't help, see your physician because painful periods might be a sign of something more serious.

I would definetly go to the OBGYN doctor to get a medical opinion. It doesnt sound like an average cramp, just to be safe get checked out...plus they may have a great method for relieving your pain, or maybe the pain is caused by another problem. I dont want to scare you, im sure its nothing, but just to be on the safe side you should ask a specialist

Are you on birth control pills and do you smoke, those two combo's can cause pain in legs, take it from someone who had the same problem.

Night-time Tylenol. I made the mistake of taking that a few hours before I was supposed to go to work. That was the worst time ever trying to get up--but I did feel better.

i used to get pains like that too, it would hurt all the way down to my toes, but it seems like after i had my baby that they lessened and also when you're on birth control it helps alleviate your cramps

I have the same thing but it's always in my right upper part of my leg. It gets better with age and of course getting pregnant. Aleve always worked for me.. Good luck.

Taking some midol and putting a hot water bottle over my ovaries/pelvic area seems to help me.
