Today is Tuesday, Sunday night I was shaving my arm pits and everything was fine. Then I woke up on Monday and my arm pit hurt. I went to touch it and there is a knot under the skin about the size of a pea. It was really sore on Monday and today its not as sore, but the size of the knot has not changed. Till this happened I've never noticed a knot being there. (how many of us go around feeling up our arm pits). There is no razor burn there, just the sore pea size knot. Any suggestions?

I have had like a razor burn..a bump that hurt, but if it is actually a lump under the skin it may be your lymph node..it could be infected. I would call your doctor if it does not go away after a week or two. If you start getting symptoms of the flu (fever, sweating) I would see your doc right away. Good Luck.

A lump under your arm can be just a serious as a lump in your breast. If it is still there in a couple of days, I'd make an appointment and have a doctor check it out.

It is likely an ingrown hair or filled pore. It will likely work its way out on its own and heal up in a few days. However, if the soreness and lump stays or you are worried, contact your doctor to have it checked out.

I believe that may be a in-grown hair.
