1. Start putting periods in your sentences, i was seriously so out of breath reading your question.
2. Go apply! The world doesn't care what problems you are going through. You can only better yourself, you're not intitled to have anyone help you.
3. Aim your sights higher then retail. You might make $7.50 at ross or burlington coat factory.
4. Try joining a union or something. To be a "helper" you usually start out at like $12/hr and if you earn $500 soon you can pay your union dues and start your apprenticeship and make $17/hr (these are average wages). In a few years you will graduate from trade school and you will be making like $40/hr.

You need to go plan your life. Nobody is gonna do it for you bub. That's reality, my dad was out of work for 9 months and then right after he started working again my mom was out of work. Even when they both had jobs we were still pinching pennies. For christ sake I just turned 18 and I haven't had health insurance ever for longer than a year.

Personally i think your lazy. You have dropped out of school and you aren't doing anything with your life right now. You want a simple answer given to you, you don't want to go look for an answer or a solution. Buddy re-enroll at semester, graduate from high school. Learn Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access and i guaruntee you will have a good shot at an entry level job as a clerk or a receptionist or something. As far as your dad goes, you are under 18 and he is still intitled to provide for you things like medication, food, clothes and a roof. I don't know how serious your illness is but honestly if it's something mental you can overcome it without medication. I just turned 18 brother and I am in a similar situation. The difference between you and I is I am not sitting around asking people to think for me. I am doing it myself.

There is no such thing as a dead end. If you wanna be a millionaire you can be, no matter what kind of family you come from. If you wanna be dirt poor forever that's your choice too.

Good Luck

McDicks supposedly has a good benefits plan...you'd have to look into HOW good.

But the likelihood of getting a "Good" job with no experience is *near* zero, although it can happen. Like others have said... Apply. Apply for everything you can...you may have to do the same for Welfare.

Depending on the source of your meds, I believe Galaxo-Klein or some such actually will cover the costs of your meds (within limits) by joining a certain programme.

In any case, I wish you luck and all the best!

Applying is the only way to truly find out if you're going to get hire. Just put down what ever prior experience you have. Don't be misled because retail store's doesn't pay all that much. You should try working with a company that provides medical benefits it helps to get your prescription. Check with your local job agency and see if they can get into a entry level job with benefits.

I hope everything works out for you.

absolutely get a job with benefits. Burlington Coat factory is not high end retail; they will not expect experience, just for you to be honest, hardworking, and a quick learner on cash registers.

But back to a job with benefits. I know Home Depot is known for their benefits. I'm guessing they want HS diplomas, but if you are working towards yours they might hire you.
