Well you can buy prenatal vitamins at the store off the shelf or if you can't swallow them then take flintstones (you have to take two flintstones to equal one prenatal)

Drink plenty of water, juice and milk. You are allowed up to 2 cups of coffee or 2 cans of pop a day.

Eat right..don't just eat all sugar foods but get some healthy foods in there.

You can have seafood, tuna and fish. You are allowed 12 ounces a week (and they are trying to see if pregnant women can have more b/c it is very good for baby in the long run) but they do say to stay away from shark, swordfish and such. Just make sure it is cooked really well.

With the lunchmeats they say to steam or cook them b/c the processed meats can gather bacteria easier and just to be safe to steam or cook.

You can take baths..just make sure they are not too hot. I love hot baths and I take them frequently b/c it hurts to stand up for awhile. If you are taking a bath and you start feeling dizzy or start sweating then it's time to get out..it's your bodies way of letting you know it's too hot. As long as you get out it will not affect the baby. Same for hot tubs. I've been in a few but the water wasn't hot..just warm.

Any questions you have feel free to ask your doctor. They have heard of everything and no question is a stupid question. Usually first appt. they will ask you when was your last period, they will do your blood pressure, they may do the family history and ask if anyone has had diabetes, cancer and so forth or birth defects. They may do an exam (pap smear) also. They will give you tons of paperwork to read over to let you know what you can and cannot do while being pregnant, how to eat a healthy diet, how much you should gain on weight and so much more.

Always remember that if you have a question before or after your appt. to write it down as soon as you can so you remember to ask the doc. Being pregnant I have found it very hard to remember something even a day later...lol
good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!!

Well my well factor is generally my worst exceptional, and my unhealthy factor is generally my well exceptional... Good - Like you I'm overly sincere, however normally to a fault. For a few rationale I on no account feel of "cushioning" a few of my truths. Of path this one is well too in view that I'm an overly riskless man or woman that is anything that all people enjoys having round. Bad - Very aggressive, whilst I get into anything, I get into it BIG TIME, even as I do not inn to dishonest or some thing, I can also be very hyperactive and obnoxious now and again for the duration of it. On a constructive for this one although, I am on no account inclined to stop regardless of how bleek the drawback would possibly appear in view that of this powerful aggressive spirit.

Take lots of Methadone and hallucinagens. Visit the hot tub twice a week. Expose yourself to all kinds of cleaning chemicals if possible. Change the cat litter daily if not more. Don't fool with folic acid, it is just hocus pocus.

Pick up bar hopping and try smoking more.

These things will all help your baby in the long run. It will help it straight to the nearest retard ward within years!

First of all, congratulations! I agree with everything Amanda listed above, in addition make sure you eat a healthy balanced diet, you should avoid unpasturized cheeses, drink lots and lots of water, make sure you rest when you are tired (and you will be). When you are farther along, don't push yourself too much, you shouldn't lift heavy objects or paint (have a friend/family member paint the baby's room!). Take your prenatal vitamins and make sure to go to your OB for your regular appointments, prenatal care is very important.

the normal stuff, easy on exercising (but walking is good!) and other extra curricular activities, no alcohol, caffeine, or hot tubs, ask which meds you can take for what, getting your nails and hair done are fine...
