If I won say the mega millions and I took the lump sum and got like 80 million...I would give away 15 million to my loved ones, quit my job and travel. If I ever do work again it'll only be something I really love to do. I don't want to have to work if I don't want to or need to. I live in Michigan so if I was a millionaire and I was taking up job space I would actually feel guilty. Because there are people who can't for the life of them find a job...not even a stupid little retail job.

Hell no I wouldnt work. I mean, all depends on how much the winnings are. Seriously, what person (in their right mind) would go back to work? For retirement? Pension? Get the *^%* outta here! And since a lot of the ppl who win are elderly, dont they have grandkids or somethin? Your life has gotta be pretty lame if you want to keep working, no disrespect. Now if you own your own business thats a lil different, but to work for somebody else, nah!
It all depends on what your outlook is. I have goals and stuff I want to do like travel and whatnot. I would work, but it would be doing something to help other ppl get jobs and stuff not be at work all damn day. You can hire a personal trainer to stay fit. Some ppl have no imagination

I've been a stay at home mom for 2 years. Trust me, I would go back to work.
Staying at home doing nothing isn't really that exciting. It's quite dull. You get fat. You get lazy.
Plus if you weren't happy with your income BEFORE your won the lotto, you won't be happy once you win. There's a report that says that those people who were unhappy with their income before they won went into debt AFTER they won.

I would work. The trick is to work at something you enjoy and get paid for it. The lottery money allows for me to explore the possibility of doing so without suffering the negative cash flow that comes of it.

i know a lot of people say they wouldn't. but for me I would because I enjoy my job and serving my country. if i won the lottery and didn't work i would be bored out of my mind all day. so i can honestly say i would still go to work and mean it.

Id still work... Presuming that my winnings after taxes are modestly near 10m, I would take a year off build a equestrian farm in Kentucky, and buy an F-350 Diesel. I would return to my job, retire early and live on my farm.

I'd continue to work, but only part time. This will prevent me from spending as much as I would when I am not working, and I will also have a fallback plan just incase something happens to those millions.

People say that just so they won't be bored, but the things I like doing I can't get paid for, so no I wouldn't go back to work
