Yes, have been a netflix member for 3 years or so, and I recommend it.
I'm also a member of Blockbuster online, and although it is just as good, I get a little discount with Netflix the longer I am with them.
It depends on where they're being shipped from. Mine are shipped from Colorado, so a movie on my queue will be shipped Monday, I'll receive it either Thurs. or Fri.
If you listen to the commercials for it, it says 1 day ship, but that is for those who are closest to the distrubution centers.

That is really strange. My movies usually ship either the same say as listed in my queue or a day later.

Is this your first set of movies? I remember my first movies took an extra day or two to finally get sent. Does it say a shipping/receiving day next to them or processing?

I would recommend it. It is the best way not to be disappointed when going to rent movies.

My experience has been if I put a movie return in the mail box. It is the next day to process and the next I get another movie. Of course I live 30 miles from where their main site is at, Los Gatos, CA. I have had other movies that had to be shipped from other parts of the country that have taken an extra day. If the movies you requested don't say under availability,: now, you will be in for a wait. You should get movies that are available in a couple of days depending on where you live. The hooker with Netflix is I don't think they ship on weekends. That could be your delay.
The only other thing I could think of is you live in Podunk and are still on pony express service. :)

My experience with them has been very good. They have a pretty good turn around time and I rarely have to wait for more than 2 days to receive a movie (depends on how fast I turn them back in). Netflix also has a good selection of genres, including TV and documentary and have movies that are available to watch on your computer. I haven't taken advantage of that yet, so I don't know how that works. They also have previously viewed DVD's you can buy at very good prices.

They also offer a free 1 month trial period.

I've had Netflix for about 4 months and (knock on wood) it's been great.

I've been lucky and haven't received any bad dvd's or had to wait for any movies. I'm on the one at a time - unlimited plan for $9.99 a month.

Normally, I receive my movie within two days of dropping the previous one in the mail. Netflix also sends me an email letting me know they received it and a seperate email letting me know they're sending the next one. There's also a link on my page to report any problems with the dvd.

It's worked out great for those movies I can't find at my video store.

I love Netflix. They have a much wider selection, and better service than the Blockbuster service. I have only had one bad DVD sent to me and as soon as I reported it as damaged, I had an email sent to me asking if I would like another copy sent and I had the new copy a day later. They are constantly sending surveys over email regarding how quickly their movies are getting to you and there is a rating service that as you rate movies you have seen, they will customize a list of recommendations for you.

Since you just set up your account, it takes an extra day or two to get everything processed and started up for you. Keep in mind the numbers of people that they are servicing. After your first movies are sent, it usually only takes them 2 days to get another one to you. One day to process and one day to get the next one sent out.
