They can withhold from every source of income until the arrears are paid or until the garnishment reaches the level ordered by the court.

The more you make, the more they take. They then take their "cut". They then use your payment as justification for the millions of dollars of incentive payments they receive from the Federal government every single year. It's a money-making machine for the state. You see it's like this - you and millions of other perfectly fit, loving parents are being used as pawns in the game of "let's make more money for the states"
How do they get the populus to buy the fleecing of perfectly fit parents (mostly fathers)? They rely on the media to put some teary-eyed, impoverished single mom on the evening news every other week or so to help blast misguided symapthy across America. It's highly effective in brainwashing the average person into thinking that if someone has been ordered to pay child support, then there is something WRONG with them, or they do not want to be a part of their children's live. It's DISGUSTING WHAT IS HAPPENING. Stop buying the lies!
Anyone who disagrees is very sadly misinformed. Do the research.
Here's how you can help to move this out of control train in the opposite, correct direction:
JOIN THIS FIGHT:

Log onto both websites and join.....they are 100% free, volunteer driven organizations. We write letters to congress and legislators, (I do TONS of that), we hold demonstrations outside of government buildings and other places of interest. We make phone calls to senators and reps explaining how influential we can, are, and will continue to be on elections.

Answer is yes. If you suddenly started making $50,000 per year at a new job, expect to not only have to pay the support in full, but actually have it increased! A second job means more income, and more income means more moolah garnished from your salary, all of course, determined by a judge based on the legal settlement at the time of divorce or legal separation. Most states, if not all, have been cracking down and really going after so called "dead-beats" (not that you are necessarily one of them) and men who pay insufficient support. Don't expect to beat the system too long these days and get away with it. Like drunk-driving laws, there's been a huge crack-down due to the outrage of thousands of mothers stuck in the cold rain, left holding child, diaper bag and not a whole heckuva lot more.
Bottom line. Expect to cough up more dough.

They can only withhold the amount set by the judge, but on the other hand if you get a second job she can take you back to court and have the amount you own increased since you will be making more. Kind of sucks but it can happen, hopefully you get along with her and it want happen.

They can only withhold the amount you owe. Looks like the withholding satisfies your obligation. As such, they would not garnish a second paycheck unless you owe back support and they are not able to withhold more from your current check based on income limits (they can only withhold 50% of your income)

They can and will garnish from all of your employment....they can also attach your bank accounts, savings accounts - put a lien on your house, seize your car and anything of value you have.
We, the taxpayers, don't take kindly to deadbeat dads who think it's perfectly fine for us to support his children. They are YOURS, you brought them into the world...it is your responsibility to support them, not ours.
