If a trait is adaptive can you please explain why and give an example

An adaptive trait is any trait that helps an organism survive in its environment. It's only an adaptive trait if it is helpful.

A frog's eyes are situated on the top of its head. This allows the frog to see approaching predators while the frog is resting in the water. This helpful trait is an adaptive trait.

if a trait is adaptive that means that it does not change unless you move to a different country.

an example of an adaptive trait is eye color. if you move to a different country your eye color will change.
