Dont worry, assuming you havent had any other problem, bleeding ect. You are fine. I cant believe your Dr. put you through that knowing its way too early to even hear a heatbeat. Dont get worked up something could happen then. Just relax and you can try again in 4 weeks to find something. You should be able to find a heart beat then for sure. Good luck and just try to relax.

Okay I am going to be bold and tell you exactly what I think about this cause i have been through three pregnancies and had two miscarriages (so i only have my four year old). It is not common to not see even a sac at 5w4d. You might not be able to see much beyond just the sac and maybe the fetal pole, but you would be able to see something. At only a week later (about 6w4d) they should be able to see a heartbeat. Now there may be reasons for them not finding anything. If you are a very large woman sometimes that can make it harder to see. If their machines are older and not high tech maybe that could be a reason. But it is highly unlikely that this is a viable pregnancy. From someone who has been there, I offer you my deepest condolences. I am very sorry for your lost, no woman should have to go through this. I would love to know what they plan to do. I would imagine they might do another ultrasound in a week or perhaps run blood test to test your HCG level. Please keep us up to date.

You should ask your doctor (tech) to explain everything to you. That's why they are there. Go to babycenter.com and do some research. I think the baby doesn't show up in the sac until 6 or 7 weeks. Call your doctor right now and ask "Am I still pregnant?" and let him/her know you are worried. Talk to your doctor because they will have all the answers.

That's a question for your doctor. That's what they are there for. I had my first scan at 5weeks and there was a very tiny sac. But maybe my doctor just has a better u/s. Talk to your doctor.

It is very early, but I would demand another one around 8 weeks to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. Those are very dangerous and can kill you. Remember, DEMAND and if he refuses find another doctor.
Don't worry just yet, it is very early. But get another ultrasound.

You're still pretty early. I didn't have my first transvaginal ultrasound until 7 weeks, 2 days.

Ask your doctor because I have NO IDEA...or it might be a...one of those pregnancies that happen in the ovary...be careful, talk to your doctor and tell him/her how worried you are.

What did the tech tell you? You should have demanded to speak to the doctor to get some answers.
