A pencil is a writing tool, mostly used in schools. One end of a pencil is the writing part, you can draw, write words, scribble ect. and the other end of a pencil, (the soft pinkish part) is used to erase mistakes or whatever. The eraser can only erase marks made by pencils though. So don't try and erase a crayon, or pen!
