can you give me examples i have to do this essay about the haymarket riot and they say to explain the immediate effect and long term effect i dont know what that is can you explain to me what it is

I dont know specific about the riot, but I can try to clarify anyways.

If a riot occurs, the immediate effect would be things like: the need to rebuild the community, providing health care for any injured persons, putting out any fires, ...the immediate issues that must be taken care of

The long term effects would be... after the New Orleans flood, there was a riot. This area is comprised of mostly black people, so the country saw black people looting and acting like criminals. The long term affect could be the impact of societal views towards African Americans.
