Just ran into someone who got out of the program because she didnt believe in God. (12 steps reference to God through out the program) anyone know anymore about this?

Since there are treatment programs that do not reference any religious beliefs the judge should provide an option that includes such treatment.

It is a first amendment violation for the State to require anybody to participate in a religious observance, and 12-step programs are religious for this purpose. The state can require a secular alternative, and many are usually available. But if no secular alternative is available, the State remains precluded from requiring participation in a religious program.

Why would you want out of the program? You rather go to jail?
