I don't see what the big scare is, personally. The kids aren't allowed to leave the school anyway, so it's not like their freedoms are being "restricted". The RFID's are no more than an electronic leash so that teachers don't have to watch them constantly. I'll worry when they start putting them on adults, so that the government can track them instead of school teachers. BTW RFID's don't cause cancer, they're passive transponders.

Oh....I was going to say that here in the US, we have to get our own uniforms, they don't give them to us. So it would be a bit difficult to put a chip in our school uniforms. What exactly is a "RFID" chip?

I'm surprised there isn't a youth protest over this. Over here we can't really get 11-16 year olds to wear actual uniforms. We're lucky to get them in polos and khakis.
