Would Americans react differently ? Why ?
US blind and selfish support of Pakistan dictator really exposes its claim for democray for which it killed saddam hussein for being a dictator,or killing your own citizens is justified so long as you are a puppet servant to America.
Bear in mind,the current protest is by lawyers and moderate people who want someone that relate to them.
No media has reported that it is an extremist protest

If I was the US president, I would prefer limited but reliable,true and civilised support from an islamist leader that represents the majority of its people,not a support of one man against the will of a whole nation.
And who said there arent moderate voices in Pakistan other than Musharaf ?

The US government espouses democracy while supporting right-wing dictatorships around the world and overthrowing legitimate governments that it does not like.
At home it also espouses democracy, but behind the scenes often practices undemocratic policies in violation of the constitution and the law.
