I watched the debate, and I could have swore that it was the other Dems who jumped on that. And is it really so complicated that you can't be for it or against it? I'm against it. Here's the story:

LAS VEGAS (AP) – Former President Clinton on Monday compared Republican criticism of his wife's position on driver's license for illegal immigrants to the ads that helped sink John Kerry's White House hopes in 2004.

"I had the feeling that at the end of that last debate we were about to get into cutesy land again," Clinton told some 3,000 members of the American Postal Worker's Union at a convention.

At the end of a televised Democratic presidential debate last week, Hillary Rodham Clinton hedged on whether she supported a plan by her home state governor, New York's Eliot Spitzer, to issue licenses to illegal immigrants.

Republicans — and her rivals for the Democratic nomination — quickly criticized her answer, accusing her of trying to have it both ways.

But Bill Clinton said the issue is too complicated for sound bites.

"It's fine for Hillary and all the other Democrats to discuss Governor Spitzer's plan. But not in 30 seconds — yes, no, raise your hand," he said.

I found one true clinton supporter, ssuper critic...he's of the John Kerry fold that understands the importance of nuances, and hates the idea of making a clear decision. It's a free country...you'll get your chance to vote for more of that if it's what makes you happy.

This is exactoy why I don't like this guy....

'cutesy land?'

snide, vindictive, defensive, blatantly childish - in every way.

I look at all the foolish spew cons recieve here on Y/A and I've no doubt where it's originating from. Unbelievable that they think it's conducive to communication.

Any time either of the Clintonistas screw up it's someone else's fault. I get real sick of that, too.

- just more of the same lack of self-responsibility.

ugh....

I am sorry that the problem is a little complicated for your limited intelligence and so you have to reduce it to terms of one syllable which you can understand. Perhaps as you grow a little older and wiser you will come to understand that not all questions can be resolved with yes or no. Driver's licenses are a common mandate for identification which might be useful for a number of reasons to police and other government agencies. Better try something else in your indiscriminate attacks on the Clintons. I am sure you and the rest of your Republican losers will find something, or at least invent something between now and election. Right now it is not looking to good for you.

She was flip-flopping all over the stage, they had every right to press her. Then she goes and plays the "gender" card, all those mean men were piling on the poor defenseless thing. Give me a break. I am voting Democrat, but it will not be Hillary.

Yes, and I recall Hillary blamed the "vast right wing conspiracy" for the Bill and Monica thingie. I suppose that's what spouses do, they defend each other. One time, my husband went to Blockbuster and browbeat the teenager working there because he tried to make me pay extra for not rewinding a movie. :-)

That is hillarious. It is AMAZING that he has the balls to blame Republicans, when the most critical responses were the other democratic presidential candidates.

I read it. Liked the part be sure to vote Democrat if not for my wife... lol as if he was offering a disclaimer to his own BS support. Listening he sez is key... I hear him waffling as well!

Nothing he says is uncalculated. ( he is specific, on the dime) Nearly everything she says is not. Funny, they really are just a fraud after all. Thanks for bringing up the news piece. I also found it enlightening!

It just means she has a secret plan that she is unwilling to reveal to the World, just like John Kerry and his secret plans.
