James, I was born in 1970, and I don't have Bread or the Carpenters, but I do have Cliff Richard (Sir Cliff...)

Good thing this place is a safe house. The ridicule could cause me to go hide in a dark hole somewhere.

I've answered a similar question and it's still the same answer, The Carpenters. I dig Karen's smooth anorexic vocals and Richard's pill-popping piano playing.
As far as my biggest guilty pleasure song goes, and I have no clue why it is, it's Debbie Boone's You Light Up My Life.
(hanging my head in shame......)

You know I have eclectic tastes when it comes to music...and growing up in the '70's I have a lot of the music and still like a lot of the music.
I love Wild Cherry, Carl Douglas and KC and the Sunshine Band...

Wow. I confessed to this once before. I can't believe I'm going to confess to it again.
Danity Kane.
Yup. I watched the stupid show. And then, I bought the CD.
The truth is, I've accepted them for the one-hit wonder, manufactured pop they really are. Everything about them tells me I should run....they're SO not my speed.
My God - they're DIDDY'S brainchild! They even look like living Bratz dolls!
And yet, there's something about it that I really enjoy. Especially when I'm vacuuming and singining (or - yikes! - dancing) along to my iPod.
How embarrassing.

my to blame excitement might may be the Backstreet Boys and Nsync...and yeah i'm with ya on the old Britney Spears songs...they are lots extra suitable than the stuff she's got here out with in the previous 3-5 yrs. surely something in the ninety's that young ones and tweens at present think of is lame...cuz i think of that Justin Bieber/Miley Cyrus/ Miranda Cosgrove is lame...boy bands and Britney are way extra suitable than all 3 of them
