They taste absolutely wonderful. The fryers are very dangerous though, if you have small children around really make sure this is something you want to do. My uncle has been frying them for a long time and has been burnt a couple have times. They must be done outdoors on grass or cement, they can easily catch a wooden deck on fire. They arent quite as healthy as a traditional Turkey but you have to splurge sometimes! They cook a bit faster too, they also cool quickly, make sure you have everything prepared and ready to be served when the turkey comes out of the fryer. Here is a link with some good cooking/safety instructions:

Good luck, Happy Thanksgiving!

LOVE IT! That's what we're having again this year, and it's wonderful. Very moist and juicy. Even people who don't care for turkey usually like it.

You need a big old turkey fryer and a lot of oil. My brother-in-law used peanut oil. You can get both the fryer and oil at WalMart. It takes much less time than oven roasting. You might want to do two small to medium turkey rather than one giant one. That seems to work better.

Biggest advice...fry away from the house, and not in the garage. Every year some bozo fries in the garage and winds up burning his house down.

Peanut oil is fairly expensive. Its quite messy also. Needs to be done outside and if its really cold out, you'll wait a while for the oil to heat up to the proper tempature.

I really didn't care much for it.

I'm looking forward to using my new bosch gas stove's convection oven this year. The convection roast setting is going to be perfect for turkey. I've done a couple pork butts and did some chicken up last nite in it, YUM YUM it was so righteous.

Tell your husband you want a bosch gas stove with european convection oven. You won't believe how awesome this stove/oven is.

To start with you will need a HUGE frying pan....

I presume you are going to chop it into pieces, you could wok it the same as you do with chicken but it would have to be cut up small, sounds like it could take some work....

Good luck I would love to know how it tastes...

Are you putting it into an oil cooker?
My neighbor has one and uses peanut oil.
The cooking time was a lot faster than roasting.
He likes the taste.

Good luck.
