Lies the innocence, only a child knows.
Still and suffering, lonely the day goes.
Locked in a closet away from the light.
Waiting for the unknown of the hurt in night.
Betrayed by a monster of grey, long and thin.
Painful on the tile floor to sleep near the kin.

Underneath the petals of a rose
that you'll find in my backyard garden
I hide a treasure
an abundance of sweetness
beyond any measure
you can look and search
but you will never find it
I have to give it to you
to unlock it's secret hideout
so when your not expecting it
i will come and visit
and bring to you you my treasure
hidden underneath the petals of my rose
Hold out you hand as I come near
and I will give you a wonder of the world
and you shall share with me as well
for in your smile, you hold my world
and you will feel in your heart
the treasure the rose brings
for it is love within your heart that you now feel
and with this tiny little flower
we can make magic
