Sooo sorry buddy, doesn't look good for you. She can take a test now. Some may be neg for 2 to 3 weeks after a missed period. Your dad will have to just get over it if she is. I mean that's his grandchild. And lets face it you should definitely finish school. You'll need a good paying job. Will she be 18 when she has the baby?

Just adding to your last comment...You are scared to death yet you are addimate on not leaving her. Thats really great of you. Most guys your age would never return another call. You seem like a smart guy you guys will work it out some how.

Stop freaking out for a moment. Do you love her? That will help you get through any outcome.

Find out if she's pregnant...it's not too early to test.
Ask her what she would like to do if she is? It is ultimately her choice whether or not she will have a child if she is pregnant. Accept it and be supportive either way.

If she is pregnant then you need to tell her parents this information only if it is decided to keep the child. Explain to them that calling the police will end your scholarship and that this scholarship will give you an opportunity to support the child better than any shift at McDonalds could. Then you're on a long hard road but you'll survive.

If she isn't pregnant...STOP BEING A KNUCKLEHEAD and use protection. YOU not just her, it' s obvious that the scholarship is important to you. Never, NEVER, NEVER go without a condom...kids are serious business. Don't give up your youth so soon...STOP being irresponsible!

End of lecture.

No, she should take a pregnancy test now since her period is late, because it would be very accurate, if it's negative then she's more than likely not pregnant but needs to go to the doctor to see what's wrong. Second, I don't know what state you live in, but in most states the police can't do anything to you if she's over 16 ( even though she's still considered a minor), and your under 21. I dated a 20 yr old when I was 17, and the police said that my parents could not do anything about it. Third, don't freak out yet! Have her take a pregnancy test ( get a reliable one like EPT, not a cheapo one!), and when you find out then start thinking of what you are going to do. Either way, you were both responsible enough to have unprotected sex so you may have to deal with the consequences.

To find out if she is pregnant you can either just get a home pregnancy test, or get online and search for the city you live in and there is a place called planned parenthood, they are very supportive, and will help with everything and your g/fs parents will never know about her going there, and being that is is only 17 and if she doesnt have a job it will be pretty much FREE to go there and get what ever you need to be done, and being that she is 17 I am pretty sure 17 is that age where her parents can not do anything it is all up to her judgement, and there is nothing wrong with a 17 and a 19 year old being together

but first find out if she is pregnant before you get yourself all worked up...

Well this is something you should have asked BEFORE having unprotected sex! Sounds like she could be pregnant...you will not know for suere unless you guys get a home pregnancy test which you can do at any time since she has missed her period. If she is pregnant then you both need to sit down and decide together what you are going to do...if she wants to keep the baby then do not push her to not. If you both decide that now is not a good time then go for abortion (not that I am for abortions because I am not). You guys made that baby together and should accept the consequences of your actions no matter what parents will do. If you both decide to keep the baby then sit down and come up with a plan...how you will be able to afford the baby and living arrangements. Usually if you think ahead and present parents with your plan...they feel less worried about their babies! If he threatens the police then present the scholarship issue and tell him if you lose it then you will have nothing to ensure the support of your g/f and child! Also consider marriage...only if you know you love this girl though. Never ever egt married because you think it is the right thing to do!!! 9 times out of 10 it ends in divorce and hurts the child!

Ok you're in a pickle. 1st thing- don't panic it'll only make things worse. What I would do is wait a bit. I didn't know I was pregnant till iwas 2 months along. Wait atleast 3 weeks before taking a test or else buy the EPT in a week- don't get cheep ones they lie! she's seventeen so there isn't much her dad can do honestly (my aunt was a cop and we had alot of these things happen) so don't panic about that- you are NOT going to go to jail. If she is pregnant BOTH of you need to talk to her parents it's the respectfull thing to do but first make a plan for the future parents are real big into that when this happends. tell them that you will take responsibility for the child because after all you helped make it and theres nothing worse, more than a guy who got someones little girl pregnant and wasn't man enough to stay and take care of the baby and mom. As for your scholarship it'll be hard but theres ways to do it all, but think 5+ years down the road when you see that baby calling you dad and going through life with a little one looking up to you and ask yourself if your life was really ruined... if you wanna talk let me know. shelbytigers2000@yahoo.com I also have yahoo messanger.
Just remember to BREATH!

It is the perfect time to get a pregnancy test. I am about to give you some really bad advice: instead of killing a baby if she is pregnant, the two of you should come together and decide that your story would be that you thought she was 18, or she told you she was 18, or she had the impression that you knew that she was 17 when you thought she was 18. I don't think anyone could get locked up for that. But I would rather do that than killing my own flesh and blood for trying to not get people angry. I know it would be tough losing your scholarship but remember that you made the decision to have unprotected sex meaning you would have to be prepared to deal with the consequences. Keep your fingers crossed. Oh yeah....I don't know if she would get in trouble for not giving up your name until she is 18. Good luck!

The best time to take a home pregnancy test is when she has missed her period. The test should be taken first thing in the morning because that is when the urine contains the most pregnancy hormones (if she is pregnant) that makes the test turn positive.

Plus, if you had unprotected sex last week....it is usually way too early to be showing pregnancy symptoms....fatigue, morning sickness, sore breasts. Usually, these symptoms show up between 4-6 weeks after fertilization.

Take this as a lesson and use a condom each and every time!!! A nite of passion is not worth a lifetime of responsiblity when you're not ready for it!!! Good luck!!!

Arizona, California, Iowa, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee, Virgina, and Wisconsin are (according to this chart, somebody correct me if I'm wrong)

http://www.coolnurse.com/consent.htm

the only states that require you to be 18 for consenual sex. That means that (unless you live in those states) you can't get arrested for statutory rape. IF your g/f is pregnant then you and her are going to have to come to a informed ADULT decision. I don't know what your beliefs are so you have two or three choices. Even though it will be hard, you should tell your parents because she is under 18. IF she's not pregnant than I urge you to use protection EVERYTIME. Good luck and remember everything happens for a reason.

Take her to the doctor so that she can get an official pregnancy test that will be accurate. If she is pregnant then just have you have to go with your gf talk with her parents. My thinking is that the parents are going to want what is best for the baby, and that would be for its father to get a college degree. Especially since she is 17 its not like 14 the age gap is not big at all. I think that you will be ok as long as you talk to her parents w/ her like a mature adult that is accepting responsibility for their actions....On a side note, mistakes like this can cost you your life. No protection, underage sex--i dont need to tell you how stupid that is! you are in college where there is tons of women, you should not be approaching high school girls.
